Green for Now. Green for the Future. Green for the Gulf.

Green for now, green for the future, Green for the Gulf. That is the motto for Green for the Gulf, an organization which was started to raise money to help aid relief efforts for those affected by the horrible oil spill along the Gulf Coast. This is a despicable man made disaster that could have been easily avoided if our great country, US of A, was a little greener. If we don’t want to see a tragedy like the Gulf oil spill again and want to preserve our land for future generations, green is the only way to go.  From one coast to another, we are fighting to keep our oceans and beaches clean!

We have organized a benefit to help raise money for the Gulf.  All of our proceeds with be donated to Global Green through the project "Run My Ass Off For The Gulf" founded by Austin Nichols.  This project is being conducted on Crowdrise.com, a social networking fundraising website.  Austin is aware of the event however he is not personally involved and this does not mean he will be attending.  Our benefit will occur on Saturday October 23, 2010 at The Brass Pelican in Surf City, North Carolina.  It will start at 2PM and go through the night til closing at 2AM.  This benefit is joining forces with The Brass Pelican's Oktoberfest.  Festivities will include beer tasting, beer games, German food and live music throughout the day.  Live Music by Jagged Edge (classic rock band) 10PM - 2AM.  We will also have a table set up to inform all customers and participants how to live green in our everyday lives.  We hope to see you there to help us raise some cash for the Gulf.
